What We Do

02. We help you engage with Innovational Agricultural
solutions and Circular Economy Concepts

Composting

Organik kompost

By adding composting into your business, you will contribute to the story of returning what comes from nature into its beginning. The services we provide as technical consultants include the establishment of biogas and sanitary landfills. Solid and liquid fermented products from biogas plants are used as fertilizers in various fields to create economic value. Composting results in increasing soil quality and production efficiency. Thus, it contributes to sustainable agricultural activities. Also, zero waste regulations are becoming increasingly common. In order to reach the solutions focused on organic waste, composting is a great way to achieve targets and take the necessary steps to keep pace with legislations.

BioChar

Biochar is a carbon-rich, porous material produced through the process of pyrolysis, involving the thermal decomposition of organic biomass in the absence of oxygen. Renowned for its environmental benefits, biochar is a sustainable solution with diverse applications. Its porous structure enhances soil fertility by promoting water retention and nutrient absorption, making it a valuable amendment for agriculture. Beyond soil enrichment, biochar plays a crucial role in carbon sequestration, mitigating climate change by locking carbon in the soil for hundreds of years. It can be used for carbon storage in construction materials and composites as well. Additionally, biochar finds applications in water purification, serving as an effective filter for contaminants. Biochar gas also serves as a cow feed additive, contributing to the reduction of methane production in the digestive system. Last but not least, biochar is easily used in biogas plants as process stabalizer by increasing alkalinity for the microbial community.

Climate Smart Agricultural Activities

arpa Alanları

Net-zero transformation ensures that changes needed in energy, food, urban and infrastructure support one another. We assure you that improving the sustainable management of agricultural activities results in carbon capturing by soil carbon sequestering and methane oxidation. Soil carbon sequestering is a way of binding carbon dioxide from the air into the soil naturally. We provide a cross-sectoral approach to screening and validating prospective carbon-capturing sites to sequester carbon as biomass both above and below ground. Also, the soil is an important sink for methane. By applying the methane oxidation method, atmospheric CH4 reduction is made by over cover soil.

Greenhouses

Greenhouses allow the cultivation of various fruits and vegetables throughout the year by adjusting the optimum temperature, humidity, and air balance under light-permeable material such as glass or plastic cover. Since it makes it possible to grow food without being independent on climate or environmental conditions, it ensures that the desired product can be reached in every season.

Mosaic / Agro-Forestry

Tarım Bahçeleri

Agroforestry uses trees to increase biodiversity, improve soil quality, and create an ecosystem in agricultural lands. In the ecosystem made, agricultural products, trees, plants, shrubs, animals are all found on the same ground, and since all of them combine harmoniously, the productivity in the soil increases.

Agrivoltaics

This technology, which combines renewable energy and agriculture to meet the growing population's energy and food needs, is an efficient agricultural application that is effective in dry and hot regions. Thanks to the system that enables the cultivation of vegetables and fruits with the agricultural activity carried out under the solar panels, soil moisture preservation occur in high level. In addition to transitioning from fossil fuels to clean energy, it provides water savings and allows food to be grown in arid regions.

Vertical Farming

Dikey Bahçe

Vertical farming systems have been developed to create solutions for narrow areas due to urbanization, decrease in agricultural areas, population growth, and soil infertility. In the system, which increases the productivity per unit area without a horizontal space, the producer controls the optimum conditions required for the development of the product. It is a very effective solution for the sustainability of agricultural areas and food supply to meet the needs of the increasing population.

Resilient Urban Farming and Forestry (NBS)

Food security and resilience is the fact that we all have to take action about it. Nature-based solutions (NBS) is a tool for ecological development providing biodiversity benefits. Local governments and cities need to reduce their carbon emissions and implement NBS to support urban resilience. NBS also helps to create green jobs and the economy. By creating green corridors, roof farming, vertical forest, and pockets forests, green space available per habitant increases and raises community awareness. Resilient urban agriculture and forestry decrease the heat island effect in cities and create new ecosystems that benefit the environment and people. The involvement of all stakeholders in the local climate action plan will result in sustainable livelihood alternatives for all sectors. As CH4Climate Coalition, we help identify the best nature-based solution from local, regional, national, and international opportunities.

Circular Economy Models

Aerial Pine Trees

Instead of the linear economy model that proceeds in Produce-Consume-Dispose, a global circular economy understanding that does not allow waste generation has been developed. There is no place for the concept of waste in the circular economy model. According to the 5R rule of zero waste, it aims to prevent the formation of waste and evaluate it at every stage with the principles of redesign-reduce-reuse-re earth and as the last preference recycle. We help you gain awareness of the chain of circular solutions to make a positive change for your business.
